Disease: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia; B cell precursor leukemia Origin: Established from the bone marrow of a 32-year-old woman with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL L2) in first relapseSpecies: Homo sapiens Tissue:Bone marrow Morphology:Lymphoblast Properties: Suspension; single, relatively small, round cells Cytogenic data: human hyperdiploid karyotype - 47/48<2n>X/XX, +8, +18, t(4;11)(q21;q23), i(7q) - sideline without +8/18 - carries MLL-AFF1 (MLL-AF4) fusion gene - resembles published karyotype Patient: Female, Caucasian, 32 yrs of age Medium: RPMI-1640 Medium + 10% FBS Subculture: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 0.5 X 10^6 viable cells/mL.
